  • THe SPACE starts to take shape

    We have been given the green light for the Sports and Performing Arts Centre project. The construction contract has been awarded to Kier Construction and work has begun on site.

    We are hoping to have raised at least £1 million of a total £9 million needed to finance the SPACE by the completion of the project in 2014.

  • EXPANDING OPPORTUNITIES

    At The King’s School Worcester, our mission is to give young people the opportunity to excel.

    The King’s Foundation continues to grow and thrive. We now educate 1,500 students from the ages of 2 to 18 with equal numbers of girls and boys.

    The senior school is proud of its beautiful inner city site, nestling close to the historic Cathedral in the centre of Worcester. But sport, fitness, drama, dance, music, and debating are all essential elements in a full and enriching education and they require modern facilities and expansive space.

    Over fifteen years, King’s has undertaken an extensive programme of development and invested more than £12million to meet the future needs of our pupils and the demands of a modern education. Former boarding houses have been converted into modern teaching facilities. The Science laboratories have all been refurbished. We have created a Mathematics centre, two new ICT suites, and a modern Design and Technology department. We have built an award winning new Library, an Art School and, most recently, the magnificent Boathouse complex.

    Our goal now is to create a superb new Sports and Performing Arts Centre - The SPACE. This development will incorporate a new sports hall, dance and drama studios, changing facilities and a fitness suite, a sixth form centre and extensive new teaching facilities including an expansion of our Modern Languages facility.
